Haematology Laboratory

The laboratory carries out complete blood count analysis (25 parameters), as well as microscopic evaluation of blood smears and bone marrow aspirates. It carries out basic and specialised haemocoagulation tests to detect haemorrhagic and thrombophilic conditions, and to monitor antithrombotic treatment. It carries out specialised cytochemical tests.

Transfusion Laboratory

The unit has the status of a Transfusion Service Facility. It procures blood products for the clinical departments of Bulovka University Hospital, carries out pre-transfusion testing and specialised immunohaematological tests – identification and titration of anti-erythrocytic antibodies, and erythrocytic antigen typing. It carries out autotransfusion collections of whole blood for patients in the surgical departments of Bulovka University Hospital.
