The proposal for spa treatment is issued by a general practitioner or specialist physician based on the patient's current health condition. This proposal is submitted on the prescribed form of the health insurance company.

Reviewing physician's approval:

The PLP proposal must be approved by the reviewing physician of the health insurance company concerned.

Indication according to the Indication List:

Provision of spa care must be indicated in accordance with the applicable Indication List for Spa and Rehabilitation Care.  Complete Indication List

Length of Stay:

The length of stay under PLP is usually 14 or 21 days. For repeat care, the length may be reduced to 14 days in indicated cases. The patient must enter the spa within the validity period of the approved proposal, which is 6 months.

Financial Arrangements:

The patient is responsible for all costs associated with lodging and meals. The health insurance company covers only the cost of treatment, which includes initial, follow-up and exit medical examinations and 21 treatments per week prescribed by the doctor.
