Odborná lázeňská péče již od roku 1868

Vítejte v Slatinných
lázních Toušeň

The Toušeň Moor Spa was founded by Jan Králík in 1868 on an iron spring, which became the basis of local therapeutic procedures. In 1889, the spa expanded its treatment methods to include unique peat wraps and baths, which are still our most important treatments today and are applied in virtually the same way. The spa consists of a complex of buildings in an enclosed area with its own park and colonnade in the town of Lázně Toušeň near the confluence of the Elbe and Jizera rivers.

In the pleasant environment of our spa we offer a wide range of therapeutic and relaxing treatments. We focus on the treatment of musculoskeletal, skin, nervous and gynecological diseases, covered by insurance and for self-payers.

But not only that. Our spa is open to the public and for private recreation and corporate events, including accommodation, restaurant, medical and wellness treatments.  The harmonious spa environment with its own park and colonnade, evokes a sense of well-being and is an ideal place for family celebrations or training sessions.

In recent years, our spa area has added a Rehabilitation Inpatient Care Unit for patients after injuries and musculoskeletal surgeries and a Rehabilitation and Physical Medicine Outpatient Clinic. Under the auspices of the Bulovka University Hospital, the Rehabilitation Centre Toušeň was created, of which the Slatine Spa Toušeň is a part.

We wish you to relax with us and that your stay in the Slatine Spa Toušeň will contribute to your full recovery.

We are looking forward to seeing you!

The beneficial effects of sulphurous iron peat, called peloid, have been used for many years for heat therapy and have been the basis of local treatments for 155 years. The peat is excellent for blood circulation, pain relief and muscle relaxation. At the same time, it has significant anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antifungal effects.

In the Toušeň Peat Spa, peat is most often used for treatments in the form of baths and wraps. Due to its wide range of effects, peat can help with a wide range of health problems.

Regularly prepared peloid therapeutic mixtures are a very good source of heat throughout the application - cooling the mixture by 1°C takes approximately 15 minutes, which is also the usual length of the treatment.

The peat is mined in the vicinity of Čelákovice, where mineral-rich deposits are located. The peat is extracted mechanically by means of basket excavators, which facilitate the process of collecting and transporting the peat to the spa. The peat is left here to mature in order to improve its therapeutic properties, after which it is processed and cleaned.

After cleaning, it is applied either in the form of steam preheating in larch baths or in the form of peat wraps. Natural healing resources must be protected and preserved for future generations, and therefore all used peat is transported back to the original deposit at the place of extraction.
