Anesthesiology Department 

The Anesthesiology Department provides administration of general and general anesthesia for surgical and diagnostic procedures for adult and pediatric patients from the newborn age. We administer approximately 16,000 anaesthetics each year. The department also includes an Anaesthesiology Outpatient Clinic, which is used to perform pre-anaesthetic examinations on patients undergoing elective surgery or examinations at the FNB in the presence of an anaesthesiologist.

Anesthesiology care in connection with childbirth

In collaboration with the Gynaecology and Obstetrics Clinic of the FNB and the 1st Faculty of Medicine of the Charles University, we provide anaesthesia for elective and acute caesarean sections and other procedures in the maternity ward. Parents also have access to 24-hour service of the anaesthesia team for the insertion of obstetric epidural analgesia.

Order for examination
